FINDING DOGGOS AT OREGON HUMANE SOCIETY A FUREVER HOME

As a pet photographer in Portland OR, I volunteer a couple times a month with Oregon Humane Society to take photos of their adoptable pups. Often when a doggo finds their way to a shelter, they need a photo right away but they’re nervous about the new environment. The end result is often a cell phone picture of a timid-looking dog. A team of volunteer dog handlers helps me work with the dogs that have been at the shelter the longest to give them a “glow up” portrait session.  I want to help these dogs show off not only their beauty, but their love, kindness, and character.  The pet portraits we create help get more clicks when potential families are scrolling through looking at available pets. We work with dogs tiny to huge, wild to shy, and everything in between.  When I’m at the shelter, there is no time limit on building a trusting relationship with each and every dog so we can end up with a happy portrait.
